Create a course slides project — create_course

Scaffolds a sibling repository for revealjs decks, one per book chapter.

Usage

create_course_slides(

  author = NULL,

Arguments

path: Directory to create.
title: Course title, used in _quarto.yml and DESCRIPTION.
author: Author name.
open: Open the new project in RStudio or Positron?

Value

Invisibly, the path to the project.

Details

Slides live in their own repository rather than beside the book, because Quarto book projects cannot render revealjs at all — the format is silently dropped. Keeping them separate also lets the book stay a book project with full PDF output. See design/book-slides-research.md.
